Prepare a pass task

Choose a satellite, add it to tracking and keep an eligible task active.

Choose what to record

Choose format, folder and satellite, rotator, radio, audio and SSTV panels.

Record automatically

Arrange panels automatically or from a saved layout and record when the eligible pass begins.

Create a local record

The local filename includes satellite name, time and sequence.

Pass recording and contact records — Satellite, rotator, radio and audio panels can be captured together.

Implemented recording rules

Automatic and manual recording cannot run together.
MP4 uses AVC1/AAC at fixed 1920×1080.
WebM keeps original size and gains a seekable index.
Use automatic layout or save window positions and stacking.

ELIGIBILITY

When automatic recording starts

Automatic recording is a desktop membership feature. Folder and capture permissions, recording enablement and an active eligible pass task are all required for Ready state and auto-start.

Does not trigger

Direction tasks and GEO satellites do not trigger automatic pass recording. Manual recording is unaffected by the automatic-recording entitlement.
